Did you know that there’s a new year’s worth of organization and enhanced productivity in your pocket? With the right apps, a smartphone can help you get your life together and streamline all the daily tasks that matter. These apps are available in both the Apple and Android stores.

Living
For forecasting activities and responsibilities for the whole family’s day, week and month, we love Cozi Family Organizer. It’s a free app that allows you to put family members in a “Cozi Circle” and add items to a collaborative calendar, set up to do lists and shopping lists, and even write in/add photos to a family journal. It makes sure everyone’s on the same page and works just as well for individuals and couples as it does for big families.

Working
When it comes to organizing lists, documents and PDFs for important projects, there’s no better app than Evernote. In addition to making it easy to compartmentalize materials for numerous projects while keeping them in one place, Evernote also cuts down on paper waste.

Shopping
Now there is an easy way to do smart comparison shopping while in the store. Redlaser lets you scan the barcode and it will tell you the price at competitors online. It will even tell you the nutritional information of different foods, and the nearest library stocking the book you've been wanting to read.

Eating
The New Year is an ideal time to rein in grocery spending and streamline meal planning for your family. Love Food Hate Waste helps you do just that by offering the ability to search recipes based on food you already have in your kitchen, a meal planner that lets you look 2 weeks ahead (incorporating leftovers into new meals as well), and shopping lists that alert you if you already have an item in the pantry.

Take advantage of the technology at your disposal to help make 2014 as organized and stress-free as possible.

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  2 Peter 3:18
