It is Father’s Day this month, so if we're talking remodels, we need to talk the "manly" kind! What updates can be done to your property that your husband would really enjoy? How can you give him an inspiring domain? We have collected a few ideas to get your creative juices going.

Outdoors: Your outdoor space can become a whole new living area. Does hubby love to grill for the family? Has he dreamed of having a pizza oven?  Once you've got it fired up, it will cook a pizza in about 90 seconds, that's faster than people can eat it and is great for entertaining. Why not expand your patio or porch and create a space for him to do it in style? You might create an entire outdoor kitchen including a sink, mini refrigerator and an eating area with a fireplace. With electrical outlets you can use a portable induction burner, or a blender for cold drinks. Don't forget to include fun string lighting!

Sports: Create a space for your sports fan to indulge in his passion. You can revamp a spare bedroom to be his getaway man cave for him and his buddies to enjoy.  With a murphy bed or bunk beds against a wall, you can maximize the room's available floor space. A flat screen tv, thick carpeting to help keep the roar of the crowd to a minimum and a small refrigerator so he doesn't miss a second of his favorite team are a few options to get you started. You can install sound dampening drywall and door to contain their excitement. It can also double as a video gaming center, or a place to play wii sports with the kids or grandkids.  Perhaps he would like to have a bench and weights to work out with for muscle strength and definition.

Garage remodels: Take a look at your garage and see if you can’t portion off a section just for him.  Have overhead hooks and brackets installed to store holiday decorations, bikes, yard and sports equipment out of the way. For all his tools and toys you might have metal cabinets that provide an organizational system with bins, drawers, shelves, cabinets, and a workbench.  Have functional task lighting, perhaps a ceiling fan. Don't forget a garage floor coating or staining the concrete for a finished look. You'll reap the benefits by your first experience coming home will be driving into a neat, tidy garage!

So many remodels, so little time!  Men, if you're reading this – feel free to leave the computer on and open to this page to inspire your wives for this year’s Father’s Day gift.

They received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.  Acts 17:11
